Centura College first began training individuals for new careers in Norfolk, Virginia, in 1977, and over the years, it continued to expand its training options and campus locations. In 2006, our parent company, Employment Services, Inc., purchased The Greater Institute of Massage Therapy in Northern Virginia. The school was moved to Alexandria, Virginia in 2007. At that time, we changed the name to Centura College and began teaching medical assisting along with massage therapy. In 2012, the campus was relocated to Manassas, Virginia, where it is today.
Centura College’s Manassas campus offers training in two health care career fields: Medical Assisting and Massage Therapy.
Medical Assistant Diploma:
This focused diploma program concentrates your study on the theory and practical application in the fundamentals of medical diagnostic and laboratory techniques. Both day and night classes are offered, and full-time students can graduate in as little as 12 months.
Massage Therapy Diploma:
The massage therapy diploma program is designed to provide the basic physical and technical skills necessary to be a massage therapist. Both day and night classes are offered, and full-time students can graduate in only eight months.
