College Program

Centura College’s accounting administration program provides you with the education you need for a job in today’s modern business office. Our program combines academic instructions with laboratory training in accounting, business, communication and the use of computers, software and other modern electronic equipment. You will begin your education with instruction in the concept of working in an office. You will then learn with hands on training the use of computers and common office software applications. Students will learn accounting fundamentals and their applications to various businesses, the use of a popular accounting software package, and payroll.

Business foundation, communication studies and office management will make you a versatile employee. The additional training in Career Development, near the end of the program, gives you the skills you need to find that first important job in accounting administration and then shows you how to advance in your career choice.

Upon graduation, you will be qualified for an exciting position with many different business organizations. You will be qualified for an entry-level position such as a business accounting administration specialist, computer administrative specialist, administrative assistant, or secretary in a large office.
