Human Resources

Managing a company’s Human Resources efforts may include the recruitment, selection, training and development of employees and managers within a company.  Business careers in this field are experiencing rapid growth and are expected to continue over the next decade.  In fact, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), Occupational Outlook Handbook, The Human Resource Specialist field is expected to grow at a rate of about 21% between 2010 and 2020.

Marketing

Staying competitive in today’s business environment requires getting a brand to the market and keeping it head of the competitors. This concentration prepares students for career opportunities in business, non-profit and government; providing the basic foundation of business concepts, marketing and emerging technologies. The Marketing concentration builds on the core marketing base with courses in consumer behavior, public relations, marketing research and strategy.  Careers in this field are experiencing rapid growth and expected to continue that trend through 2020.  In fact, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), Occupational Outlook Handbook, The Marketing Manager position is expected to grow at a rate of about 14% between 2010 and 2020.
