Every business needs strong leadership. With concentrations in Allied Health Management and Operations Management, students have the choice to build a versatile skill set that can be applied to any industry or narrow their expertise to the healthcare field.

  • Award: Bachelor of Science degree
  • Program length: 19 months*
  • Course Type: Online courses

    • * The approved length of both concentrations is 120 total credits and 34 months. The Allied Health Management and Operations Management concentrations are fully distance education programs offered at the Chesapeake campus. This includes 60 credits accepted as transfer credits and the above 60 credits taught 100% online.

Career Opportunities Await

After successfully completing our Operations Management concentration, graduates are eligible to pursue managerial or supervisory work in various industries. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), management occupations are projected to have about 1.1 million openings nationwide each year from 2024 to 2034.

This path prepares you for managerial or supervisory roles in healthcare.

If you’re passionate about healthcare and want to move into leadership, the Allied Health Management concentration positions you for success. You’ll gain the knowledge and confidence to oversee medical practices, support providers and patients, and grow your career in one of today’s fastest-growing industries.

Career Opportunities Await

After successfully completing our Allied Health Management program, graduates are eligible to pursue managerial or supervisory work in the healthcare industry. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the demand for medical and health services managers is projected to skyrocket between 2024 and 2034 with about 62,100 openings available each year across the nation.

In as little as 19 months, our Operations Management and Allied Health Management concentrations offer 39 credit hours through 13 courses each. You’ll complete a broad range of courses that explore ethics, accounting, human resources, and more!

Course Name: Marketing Approaches in the 21st Century

From the ads in your feed to the products on your shelves, marketing can be found everywhere. Approaches in the 21st Century shows you how it all comes together.

  • Pricing strategies
  • Marketing plan creation and more

Course Name: Economic Principles

Economic Principles takes big-picture ideas about money, markets, and policy and shows you how they shape everyday life. You’ll explore why prices rise and fall, how governments use tools like taxes and interest rates to steer the economy, and what concepts like supply and demand or opportunity cost really mean in action.

Topics covered include:
  • Supply and demand in real-world markets
  • Government fiscal and monetary policies
  • Price levels, employment, and inflation
  • Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and the banking system

Course Name: Project Management

Project Management is all about turning big ideas into reality. In this course, you’ll learn what makes a project tick and how to keep things on track when challenges pop up.

The campus consists of a 27,000-square-foot facility across two buildings with various amenities, including Wi-Fi, computer labs, lecture halls, and specialized labs for hands-on training. To enroll, students must meet Centura’s basic requirements, including:

  • Be 18 or older or have an approved cosigner if under 18
  • Have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Have a government-issued photo ID such as a driver’s license, state ID, or passport
